Stephen Verespy

Scientific Leader

Stephen Verespy has been with Abzena for over a year as Director & Scientific Leader. Prior to joining Abzena, Stephen spent six years at a biotech in San Diego, most recently leading Bioconjugation, ADCs and Chemistry efforts.

Stephen earned his PhD in Chemical Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University at the Center for Drug Discovery and completed a postdoc at the University of California San Diego in Chemical Glycobiology.

Stephen has expertise in small molecule organic synthesis, linker design and synthesis, and bioconjugation focused on ADCs, glycan, oligonucleotide, and peptide conjugates.
