Abzena Wins Champion Award at the 2025 CDMO Leadership Awards

Abzena took home the ‘Champion Award’ in the Biologics- Global category at the 2025 CDMO Leadership Awards ceremony on March 19th in NYC.

Beating 17 other CDMOs for the top spot, Abzena’s SVP of Global Marketing, Kimberly Burrell, accepted the award stating, “We are a team based in the UK and the US, and we all come together to support our clients’ needs with the highest standards of quality excellence.”

The CDMO Leadership Awards recognize excellence in the contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) industry.  This year’s event included new categories that recognized global, international, and US-based CDMOs and specialty jury-voted Best-in-Class awards. All the CDMOs named in each of the global, international, and US-based categories were already deemed leadership award winners, with one Champion Award winner to be announced during the ceremony as the overall category winner.

The awards are hosted by Outsourced Pharma and Life Sciences Connect. Using their research partner, Orientation Marketing, they survey biotech and pharma customers to identify their preferred CDMO partners. Then, they further evaluate those CDMOs using a proprietary scoring system that blends Net Promoter Scores (NPS) with a “Top 3 Ranking” from survey respondents. Each CDMO receives a final weighted score (1–10), and only those exceeding a qualification threshold within their modality are named as award winners.
